Familiar script from 1884?

This calligraphic font appears in the 1884 US edition of Fridolin’s Mystical Marriage by Adolf Wilbrandt, but it seems really familiar. It seems like something that was floating around in the late 80s–early 90s but I can’t put my finger on it.
