Trying to identify font from a hotstamp typeset used on leather flight suit name tags

Recommended Posts

DomA

This is printed from a metal typeset used for hotstamping on leather flight suit name tags.

This person is trying to recreate his fathers US Navy leather name tag from the 1980's

The lettering would have read:

MIKE DEMAAR

AERIAL PHOTOGRAPHER

USS AMERICA

Being an aircraft carrier, the name tag is likely to have be made on the ship itself.

Lettering size shown would be about 14pt
