is there a font like this from the early/mid 1980s?

Hello from a newbie!

user of font: me/personal

i first saw this as cardboard letters. I'd like to recreate the letters.

letters in picture are carved wood

looking for a digital version.  

preferably a free alternative but commercial font is fine if it's a closer match.

What is the font name if possible. I do need the font itself so i can make cardboard letters.
