heffron Posted September 26, 2022 Posted September 26, 2022 Hoping to track this down as a specimen or any info on this style of bottom-weighted script! I imagine it would be from an english foundry 1870s-80s cheers, Drew
MissNobody Posted September 26, 2022 Posted September 26, 2022 These were probably just local print. It would be better to ask locally about history, but I'm not sure about making it into a font per se. The most similar I could find would be: Seashore Pro
heffron Posted September 26, 2022 Author Posted September 26, 2022 I came across that as well using whatthefont, thanks! @MissNobody
Solution Riccardo Sartori Posted September 26, 2022 Solution Posted September 26, 2022 It could be Lakeside Script (or a knock-off). 2
heffron Posted September 26, 2022 Author Posted September 26, 2022 Brilliant, Grazie, @Riccardo Sartori!
Kevin Thompson Posted September 26, 2022 Posted September 26, 2022 It is likely a custom engraving of hand lettering in the Zaner Script style. There was an 1880s typeface based on this style called Spinner Script, but your sample is not a match. Seashore is your best option for replicating the look. P22 Zaner would be another option. 1
