Lindsay K Posted October 18, 2022 Posted October 18, 2022 I have client who took this photo of an existing memorial stone of a pilgrim from the Mayflower. They want to have their own memorial made to match this one for a distant relative, who was also on the mayflower. I am unsure whether this is a font or a hand carved design. They are likely willing to go with something similar. This was to be a 'quick' job and it's taking longer to match the font than it would be to re-create. If anyone could either identify it or point me in the direction of a font similar I would greatly appreciate it. Free fonts are ideal as this was a low budget job. Thank you in advance.
Riccardo Sartori Posted October 18, 2022 Posted October 18, 2022 Looking at the variations, I would say this is lettering, not a typeface. Vaguely similar: English Engravers Roman (Bold Italic). download at MyFonts As for free options, the only one I could think of at the moment is Cinzel (Decorative), but it is caps-only. 2
