Måns Berg Posted January 27, 2023 Posted January 27, 2023 Hello, I have failed to identify the font used on the cover of the Swedish novel Malma station by Alex Schulman. My best guess is URW Geometric, but the oblique style seems to have an M where the midpoint touches the baseline – unlike the upright style. It might of course be two different typefaces, though that would surprise me. Do you have any idea? Thanks in advace!
MissNobody Posted February 4, 2023 Posted February 4, 2023 It think the 'ALEX SCHULMAN' really looks like Century Gothic Paneuropean (bold). The 'M' seems to be from somewhere else. As for the B/W text. Notice the 'a' in 'Malma station' and then everywhere else. Also the 'familjehemligheter' contains diamond dot over 'i' and also circular dot, but that might be just a quality artifact. There's definitely some mixing going on. Definitely at least two typefaces. Edit: The 'S' in 'STATION' and 'SCHULMAN' is a bit different as well. 1
Solution Riccardo Sartori Posted February 4, 2023 Solution Posted February 4, 2023 The text seems to be Circular. The title, as noted by MissNobody, looks very much like Century Gothic with a custom |M|.
Måns Berg Posted February 10, 2023 Author Posted February 10, 2023 Excellent – thanks to both of you!
