Hi all, does anybody know what this bitmapped typeface is? (Vein Magazine)

Looking at the project it seems as though the designer/designers might have bitmapped a classic serif typeface themselves. Though i'm not 100% sure. If they havent, does anybody know what bitmapped edit this is? / If you guys think they have, does anybody know what the original serif typeface is?

Thanks a bunch.

Looking at the other spreads, my impression is that they took a generic pixel font and artificially stretched or compressed it as needed. But I’m not sure which width (if any) among those shown is the original.

As for ultra-wide serif typefaces, you can find something of similar proportions among the (not always good) digitisations of the style of lettering used on old trains, for example: Steamroller, Railroad Roman 1916.
