What is this font used by the US National Weather Service?

The font in the image shown is used in satellite imagery and weather radar imagery heavily - mostly because I believe the software "McIDAS" (found at https://www.ssec.wisc.edu/mcidas/) uses it. The software is used by many to generate live imagery for websites and other historical weather-related purposes. (Used in the bottom black band in the image.) I like how clear the font is and how it differentiates 0's from 0's with the dot in the center of the zero. I swear that I have seen it elsewhere but since I can't remember, I don't know where else to turn. It would be nice to find this exact font, or an alternative that looks very similar without charge. Any ideas?  PS - This is my first post here - pretty cool place 😉
