Hello!

I could sure use some help identifying this sans serif font that was used abundantly by the notable Colby Printing Company based in Los Angeles throughout the 90's. I was thinking Franklin Gothic Medium? It looks so common and yet I can't quite seem to find it. Any help is appreciated.

Colby Printing was a letterpress shop—the type was moveable (wood and metal), not digital.

Champion or Knockout by Hoefler & Co. are probably as close as you are going to get in a digital typeface.

Another option: Grotzec Condensed, by Feliciano.

In the top poster, “WE ARE ALL IN THIS” is not the same face as “TOGETHER”—for that face, Proxima Nova Extra Condensed would be a decent substitute.
