    Leading is the distance between the baselines of successive lines of type. Originally, for metal type, leading only referred to the lead stripes added between the lines.

    German: Zeilenabstand
    Italian: interlinea
    Polish: interlinia
    Portuguese: Entrelinha
    Russian: интерлинья́ж
    Spanish: Interlineado

    Perhaps it should be added to the list of controversial terms :winking: (or maybe a note on historical meaning could be added).
