Looking for typeface used for the film title on Criterion's forthcoming 'The Ascent' blu-ray cover (designed by Century.Studio)

Featured Replies

I've not turned up anything on the various font identification services, and wonder if it might be a custom(-ised) typeface. Mostly, I'm just curious to know what the name/style is given the eccentric wedge serifs, particularly the half-wedges on the N and A, and the spiky swoop of the C.

The cover, below, was designed by Century Studio, who are responsible for a bunch of Criterion artwork. I've also attached an image where the letters are on the same baseline in case that's of use.

I woud tend to agree, not having found any match.

I dont't think it has a name. Moreover, the half serifs could well be part of the customisation.

That I would call "calligraphic".
