Help identify this (historic?) typeface from a specimen!

Featured Replies

I stumbled on this awkward alphabet while scrolling through Pinterest, and had no luck tracing it back to a source. I can’t tell if it’s a contemporary design or something scanned from an old specimen book. I’m not even sure how to categorize this design—transitional, maybe?  If anybody recognizes it or has any theories I would really love to get some clarity on this. Reminds me of the work of Josef Tyfa - of which there is surprisingly little in published form - just one in fact, ITC Tyfa: https://www.myfonts.com/fonts/itc/tyfa/
