Looking for font in Tony Stark's "Proof that Iron Man has a heart" memento

Featured Replies

Hi everyone,

I am looking for the font used in the "Proof that Iron Man has a heart" memento that Pepper Potts gives to Tony Stark in Iron Man (2008).

Source of the image: Marvel Studio / Disney+
Item description: metal plaque surrounding Tony Stark's arc reactor. It might possibly not technically be metal engraving as it is a movie prop.
Estimated time of creation: the movie came out in 2008, so probably 2006-2007

I am looking for the closest possible font (ideally the exact one) to be used for a personal (non commercial) project.

Thanks in advance!

Over at the RPF, they suggest an artificially emboldened Optima, which could be right, especially if it’s a result of the manufacturing (the router bit being unable to carve thinner lines, for example). To optically reproduce the effect, it would perhaps be better to start with the lighter (thus less contrasted) weight.

In any case, if it can be useful, here are some crisper samples.
