Font used in 'Top Gun' end credit title cards

Hoping you can help me identify the font used in 'Top Gun' end credit title cards.

I would say it is based on a version of Futura, but I am not sure the special treatment with the rounded corners is from a font or added. 

With URW’s Futura Round you can get close without much work:

I think it could just be an artefact of the transfer on film.
