Basic Commercial is Linotype’s name for Akzidenz Grotesk. The only version I could find, among the many reinterpretations, with a circular tittle is FF Real, but don’t think it’s the one used, even if it offers an alternate |g|.

The fact that the period is still square make me think of a custom job.
