Font used on Stephen Baxter Sci-Fi Novel

The font used for the title and the author's name is quite distinct, maybe a slab serif. I've seen this font on several of Baxter's novels, but have not been able to ID it. I'd love to find a digital version. If not a match, perhaps something similar. I hope to create a book cover using this font.
