Looking to identify font from the illustration plates in Les phénomènes de la physique Date: 1868

Have attached an image from the book page 11 of the sans serif that I am trying to identify.   I just need the font name.

The Q appears to be unusual. News Gothic is close but the M and Q are different. Thanks in advance.

That type appears to be hand lettered / hand engraved, not typeset, which was typical for illustration plates of that era. Standard block lettering style for engraving.

 

For something with a similar Q, try Kaiser.
