Looking for the font of this self-published book, 'Jews, Christians, Hindus and Muslims,' 2007 By Sattar Memon on Amazon

Featured Replies

Having to start a manuscript from scratch for the author, Sattar Memon, after they were not able to locate it.  Trying to match this specific font from page 3 of the paperback book.  I am looking for a free version of this font, if not a paid-version would also work;  I would really like to get something close.
I scanned page 3 of the paperback into my PC, and then used Windows Snip to grab only the font in question: '2007,' from that image.

Attached is the first paragraph of the acknowledgements page of  Jews, Christians, Hindus and Muslims...  It appears to me to be Garamond DT Roman (thank you @Kevin_Thompson.  If someone would like to confirm that, that would be great.
As far as using this font to format the book in Adobe InDesign, what options do I have?
The previous publisher was Amazon.  The font price is $49.00 each for regular, italic, bold and bold/italic.  Are there any alternatives other than direct purchase of this font family?  Any ideas would be appreciated.

Thank you very much.

This may be more clear

Yes, it appears to be Garamond DT, though Garamond 3 is nearly a match as well (and it is only $31.49 per style by comparison). Both are commercial typefaces, and require purchase to use.

EB Garamond and Cormorant Garamond are both available for free from Google Fonts.  Another open source take on EB Garamond can be found at fontlibrary.org, but I don’t know if it has a standard o alternate for the annoying heart that the lowercase “o” defaults to.

I can't thank you enough.
I appreciate the thinner serifs in Garamond DT Roman, and it also appears darker.
It has a refined appearance.

Your help has been invaluable Kevin.
Thank you again.
