I was searching for fonts that I could use with a free commercial license that were as close as possible to the two fonts in this image. My preference site is Google Fons as I know I won't have problem with licensing / unsuported characters, but I would still like to hear all of your suggestions.

My opinion is, that these are Nintendo licensed fonts. I don't think you'll find anything close to that, that is free for commercial use, and you'll be using knock-offs that are "free for personal use", but on the shaky grounds legally. So that said, the most similar (but not really that much) Google fonts are:

'Fancy Rat' - Titillium (black 900)

'Mostly Human' - Mohave (regular 400)

Agree with MissNobody—Fancy Rat is a proprietary font for Nintendo called Splatfont, and Mostly Human is the same (called Splatfont 2). 

Didn’t find anything closer in Google fonts than what MissN already proposed, though there are a few closer matches among commercial fonts for Fancy Rat.
