Please help me identify this typeface:

It is the epigraph page of a first edition "For Whom the Bell Tolls" by Ernest Hemingway, published in 1940 by Charles Scribner's Sons.

Looks like it's a vintage version of Garamond... This is pretty close:

There are so many versions of Garamond, however. Given the age of the book, LTC Garamont is a bit closer to the original sample.

The initial cap N is Archive French Script.
