Weiße Rose typeface

Featured Replies

Hello all,

I'm looking to identify the typeface on the cover of the first edition of Traven's Weiße Rose (image sourced from the English Wikipedia article about the book). I assume that the Eszett is not a standard glyph and it's also unlikely that the ranges Es is also not present in modern typefaces. My aim is non-commercial, to design some signage for personal use, inspired by the anti-NSDAP organisation of the same name.

Well, it's beautiful, regardless. I should look to see who the publisher was and whether they used that alphabet on anything else. Maybe I, or someone a bit more experienced, would be able to extrapolate a typeface from it
