Matching a book body font (International Building Code)

Featured Replies

The International Building Code (published in the U.S.) came out with an entirely new interior format for the 2024 code cycle. As a code consultant, I occasionally put out documents shamelessly intended to echo the appearance of the "I-Codes" (without in any way claiming that my work is from the ICC -- it's just easier for people accustomed to reading the codes to deal with a familiar format). They switched from Times New Roman to a sans serif typeface that's very similar to Arial but isn't It isn't Calibri, and it doesn't appear to be Swiss 721. Can anyone identify this font? The 'Q' in particular makes it definitely not Arial.

That looks like it -- thanks.

Someone who claims to have "insider" information e-mailed me that the font is called "Veterano." I have never heard of a font by that name and I haven't been able to find any reference to such a font. Has anyone heard of it?
