Looking for fonts similar to the 2023 Buitoni logo lettering (Italian food brand)

Featured Replies

Hello everyone,

I’m searching for typefaces that evoke the same feel as the Buitoni logo shown in the attached image. Buitoni is an Italian food company founded in 1827 and known for its pasta and sauces. In 2023 the brand underwent a redesign by Little Big Brands to modernize and simplify its look while enhancing flavour appeal. The refreshed logo features cream‑colored letters on a green background with a red drop shadow, a subtle arch over the word (“DAL 1827”), and a bold serif style with rounded terminals and a warm, friendly feel.

Context

Source: Buitoni Food Company (USA); the logo appears on their current packaging and marketing materials. A press release from Little Big Brands (May 2023) describes the redesign.

Use: The lettering spells “Buitoni” with a custom serif design. It features weighty stems, rounded bracketed serifs, and a subtle calligraphic modulation. The red drop shadow gives it a dimensional effect.

If anyone can recommend fonts with this combination of rounded serifs, medium contrast, and a friendly, vintage Italian vibe, I’d appreciate your suggestions. Any help identifying specific typefaces or foundries to explore would be very helpful. Thank you!

Hello,

A few you might explore - Pluto, Bree, and Rehtoric - not sure if that completely fits the direction you want to go, but here are the links:

https://www.type-together.com/bree-font

Thanks, so far I haven't found anything better than the Stroma font.
