Identifying the script used for “L’Atelier Poisson” on Findus’s breaded fish packaging

Featured Replies

Hello typography enthusiasts,

I’d like help identifying the script used for “L’Atelier Poisson” on the Findus fish product shown in the photos attached. Findus is a well‑known frozen‑food brand sold across Europe. Earlier this decade they introduced a new line of breaded fish fillets called L’Atelier Poisson (the box pictured here is the “7 céréales & graines” variety). I bought this product from a French supermarket in June 2025.

Context and source

  • Brand: Findus (European frozen food company owned by Nomad Foods). The packaging bears the red Findus logo and an image of breaded Alaska pollock fillets.

  • Product: L’Atelier Poisson 7 céréales & graines (breaded Alaska pollock fillets with seven cereals and seeds). The tagline below the script reads “Colin d’Alaska qualité 100 % filet” and lists features like “sans colorant, sans conservateur”.

  • Approximate date: This design appears to date from the early‑to‑mid 2020s and is still in use today.

  • Images: I’ve attached two images—the promotional artwork and the product box—to show the lettering in context.

The script has an informal, hand‑written feel, with looping ascenders, a slight slant and varying stroke widths. It looks like a brush script or chalkboard lettering (the artwork behind it suggests a chalkboard). I’ve checked some common scripts such as Pacifico, Lobster, Milkshake and Great Vibes, but none seem to match exactly.

If anyone recognises the typeface or can suggest similar commercial fonts that capture this look, I would greatly appreciate your guidance. I’m open to both paid and free options. Thank you in advance!
