Looking for the font used in this advertisement for Modern History Home

Featured Replies

I've been looking for the font used in this advertisement for Modern History Home. See attached .jpg scans.

I saw this font in an interior design magazine. It is for Modern History Home (www.modernhistoryhome.com)

I've looked at Bembo, Minister, Baskerville, Palatino, and Garamond. These fonts generally have a squished 'O' and match the 'M'. But they do not have the correct 'R'.  For the 'R', I looked at Van Dijck, but it does not have the correct 'O'.

Suggestions for other fonts for me to look at would be appreciated. This font would be used in a brochure headline and body text.

Thank you.

Hi Ralf,

Thank you for clarifying which font Modern History used in their advertisement.

The slight stretching explains why I was confused by the squished 'O'.

It is interesting how a minor adjustment like that can change the character of a font. Subtle but effective change. It caught my eye.

I appreciate your discerning eye.

Bill
