Help on identifying a font from SmashingLogo

Featured Replies

Some days ago I tried to see how this tool was and despite the generic logo it gave me, I saw a really nice font there, which I couldnt find the name anywhere in the site. I tried using Identifont, WhatTheFont, FontSquirrel and some others, but none of them gave me the right one.

This is a sample I made on the day I found it on SmashingLogo. I thought I could find it later with these specimens but did not help =/
This font has lots of special treatments depending on what you right, like if you right "Tu", the T right "hat" goes larger and gets over a minimized verson of the "u".

Thanks in advance!

Depending on how extensive the feature is, what you describe is often called interlock (other examples).

No match, but similar (and potentially a better quality):

Oh I saw this one too when I used WhatTheFont. Pretty nice too.

Exactly (didn't know by this name, thanks for the teaching)! BTW, these examples are very cool!

Here is the feature in action on part of the logo I generated at the time I used SmashingLogo. Very similar to the examples you brought.
