Looking for the font used on this 1974 edition of Arthur C. Clarke's "The Nine Billion Names of God"

Featured Replies

Hi, I'm glad I found this forum because after MyFonts got rid of the "What The Font?" forum, I was in desperate need of another forum where I could have actual human beings identifying fonts.

Anyways, for my first foray into this forum, I'm looking for the font used in the title of this 1974 edition of Arthur C. Clarke's short story collection The Nine Billion Names of God. According to my research, this particular edition was published by NAL/Signet:

I'm looking for the exact name of the font, but I'll accept a free alternative if it's a commercial font. The reason I'm asking is because I have a one-man 70s/80s-style electronic disco group, and I was looking for a retro sci-fi font to use on album covers.
