Member Amy…
Hello! Would someone please be able to help me identify the main typeface used in this magazine. Here is a link to the full issue: https://www.hhmi.org/sites/default/files/Bulletin/2015/Fall/hhmi-bulletin-fall-2015.pdf I am having issues identifying this font by usual means, so if anyone knows of it, please let me know. This image I have attached shows a sample from the magazine. This magazine is an issue of the Howard Hughes Medical Bulletin from fall 2015. I am looking for the name of this typeface for a research paper. Thanks so much! hhmi-bulletin-fall-2015 3.pdf Link to comment
Solution Member Kev… Posted February 27, 2018 Solution Share Posted February 27, 2018 Open the PDF in Acrobat and click on File > Properties > Fonts to list all the used typefaces. If you have the full version of Acrobat (not just Acrobat Reader) on your computer, you can actually go into Edit PDF mode, highlight lines of text, and identify each face that way. The funky serif with the wide range of weights is called Lexicon No. 1 Roman (used in multiple weights for both headlines and body copy). Lexicon is purportedly the most expensive typeface on the planet (the No.1 suite sells for upwards of $2800, the entire family for upwards of $4900). The file also contains Akkurat and Antwerp. 1 Link to comment
