I am wondering if any typefaces are close to this? Tried a few online resources but no luck. Retraced the letters "ital".

There's a very beautiful typeface from fontshop called FFNewBerlin which could be interesting: https://www.myfonts.com/fonts/fontfont/ff-newberlin/

Not exact but has a nice lilt about it.

Inspired by the sign, I created something in Fontstruct. You will need to skew the type 5° to match the sample.

Not very close but Lunda Modern has something similar.
