Looking for the font used on my family grave

Featured Replies

Grave installed in France, 1994 following the death of my grand-father.

Trying to find a digital version of the font, free would be an advantage.

I personally can't find anything exact and I suspect it is a custom font for a machine that specialises in making headstones. There is a beautiful typeface which has a similar feel about it and has lots of alternative glyphs and ligatures. Only a suggestion.

Hi Gecko, thanks for the reply! It was indeed a hand made font (so lettering) for headstones machine! I got another headstone expert on the grave, trying his best to replicate it by hand (which is not an easy task), for my dad and grand mother. Case closed!
