JC Pineda
Hi, I'm looking for the font used by Atenews for their headlines and folio line. I'm not sure if the two images attached here share the same typeface but I think they're pretty similar. I will really appreciate any help you can provide. Solution Riccardo Sartori Posted August 7, 2019 Solution Share Posted August 7, 2019 Yes, both samples seem to be set using the same typeface, that appears to be Commercial Type’s Publico. Link to comment
JC Pineda
Are there any alternative typefaces available for free download? Link to comment
Riccardo Sartori
No, not really. Also, to be able to give meaningful suggestions, one would need more information: do you need it for headlines or body text? Are you trying to match the shape of the letters, the caps/x-height ratio, the stroke contrast, the overall colour of the text, the width? Do you need it for personal or commercial use? Do you need multiple weights or styles? Do you need specific language coverage? Anyway, you can find suggestions for good free serif typefaces in these two lists: 1 Link to comment
JC Pineda
I'm not really critical on the font characteristics but thanks for the guide questions, I'll definitely include them next time. I was just looking for a free typeface that I can use as a substitute for Publico. I need it for headlines. The lists you gave are actually helpful. I found a good one that I can use--Alegreya. Thank you so much for the assistance! Link to comment
