Looking for the font of this "vintage" Billy Joel concert tee from Free People

Featured Replies

This "vintage/throwback" concert tee for Billy Joel is from Free People's website- the link is:

I am specifically looking for the font that spells out "Billy Joel". It looks like its custom, but I think it is a font that someone adjusted and added flourishes. The lowercase "e" is odd, like someone almost took a bite out of it. I am looking for a digital version, commercial fonts are fine. A free alternative that's close that I could tweak and adjust to mimic this as close as possible is also fine.

I am using this for a greek life shirt- a sorority likes it and they want the same font to spell their name out on a chapter shirt. Any help is much appreciated!

That looks very much like a customised hand lettering job, however I can think of two typefaces that have a similar feel. "Lovadelic" and "Seventies", immediately spring to mind, both available at myFonts, if your good with Adobe Illustrator you should have no problem tweaking either of them to suit the situation:

Kevin- you are absolutely right! Thank you. I didn't see your response until now, but I found it on dafont but it was called "sixties".  So I'm guessing this person just copied/ripped it off? I don't know. But it's definitely Spadina. Thank you!
