henning
Does anyone know which fonts are used in the 2016 NBA allstar jerseys? The numbers could be DIN Condensed Bold. Link to comment
Riccardo Sartori
Sport jersey typefaces are almost always custom. And in this case, besides the numbers, there are at least two different designs (see the |S| in “East” and the one in “James”). With flatter samples of enough letters one can try a visual comparison to find similar typefaces. Link to comment
henning
Cheers Riccardo. You are probably right about the custom typeface. The name font looks a bit like Prohibition, though. https://www.myfonts.com/fonts/fort-foundry/prohibition/regular/ Link to comment
bertel
CANADIAN PRESS DECEMBER 3, 2015, 10:12 AM TORONTO — This season’s NBA all-stars will play in jerseys that both pay homage to Toronto’s NBA history, and celebrate the game’s first appearance in Canada. The NBA and Adidas unveiled the jerseys on Wednesday, for all-star weekend Feb. 13-14 in Toronto. Among the unique design elements, the font for the jersey’s name and number is identical to that worn in 1946, when the Toronto Huskies hosted the New York Knickerbockers in the league’s inaugural game. 1 Link to comment
