Brenta is a crisp typeface with open counters and compact proportions, its name referring to a range of mountains in northern Italy.

In 1939 Zapf started a series of sketchbooks and continued them throughout the war years. Only a few pages have been reproduced previously. With the cooperation of the artist himself, this project will make the complete work available for the first time.
