Looking for help with patenting a font?

I have come up with a very unique font. I need help getting it off the ground. I know nothing about this. I will share in proceeds if there are any. Again, I am totally new to all of this.

In what country are you? If in the USA, you can obtain a Design Patent for a typeface design. Note that this is different from a Utility Patent. In other countries, similar protection is referred to as e.g. Registered Industrial Design.

See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Design_patent for more information.

The easiest way to register a Design Patent is to employ a patent lawyer to file the paperwork, but you could presumably do it yourself if you find out from the US Patent Office what is required.

Once you have a design patent and -hopefully- become assured that nobody will swipe your idea, do show it here to recruit a partner.

Free information on how to patent or copyright anything is available from the US Patent & Trademark Office. It gives detailed information on how to go about the process.

Not to nitpick, but…“unique” is like “pregnant”: either you are, or you aren’t. Nothing is “very unique”…
