Logotype and ink traps?

Hello All,

I'm working on a logo and for the digital 'sketch' I used Futura Extra Bold Oblique.
Cliënt wants to keep that but I'm uncertain about the traps when using the logo larger.
Should I manually alter it so there are no traps or should I leave it as is.

Thanks.

I would remove them.
The face was originally designed for metal, and the ink traps were only on the small sizes.

Yes, do remove the perception of them. In heavier fonts however you still some modulation, so be careful not to be too geometric. Traps aren't just for ink! :-)

Thanks guys!

Yeah in general I still have to find that spot between how stuff is perceived and geometrically correct.

Hey! Traps are cool. Respect the client…he/she signs the checks…

Great slogan for a design firm! ;-)

I hear you but I'm also paid to prevent them from stuff they really don't want once aware.
