Gestalt HTF Font Alternative?

Featured Replies

Hello, I am interested in using the Gestalt HTF Font for a book cover but Hoefler Type Co. no longer licenses it. I am wondering if anyone recommends any alternatives that might be similar? Something with the modern sans / puzzly hieroglyphics feel? Thanks so much!

Thanks for this info. I think your example and the experimental sans fad link are more along the lines of the direction. The Sci Fi Techno style is probably too sci fiey but perhaps some of them like Minimal that are a bit more stencily sans could be explored. What are some of the other fonts from the nineties you are aware of?

It turns out, most, just like Gestalt, are no longer available. You could perhaps find something among the earliest FontFont offerings (scroll to the bottom, let it load some more, rinse, repeat…).

Probably not what you are looking for, but in my search I also stumbled upon a possibly interesting modern design (you could want to check the others in the left column too).
