Member Dav…
I am trying to identify these fonts taken from a packet of German condensed soup paste. Fonts were used between 1941 and 1945. The font was used by Frisch und Haupt of Vienna. The usual font recognition sites have drawn a blank. Link to comment
Ralf Herrmann
Can we see the complete label? In that time, I would usually expect labels to be drawn, not typeset. Link to comment
Member Dav…
Certainly. The box is 7cm x 7cm and it was made in March 1944 Link to comment
Ralf Herrmann
That helps! Pretty sure the logo part at the top is a printing block and not typeset. Everything below that however seems to be letterpress printing. So, we might be able to find the font for “Suppen-Paste”. Link to comment
