Term for spacing between List marker and margin?

Featured Replies

For a List what is the term for the spacing between the marker and the margin.? I've searched the Internet and found it a couple of years ago but forgot. Tried searaching again and couldn't find it.

A typical list (like the one below) has:

  • a first line “indent”
  • then there is the list element symbol, e.g. “•” or “—” and so on.
  • then there is usually a “tab” as control character.
  • then comes the actual paragraph with its own indent

It's the spacing between the list margin and the glyph marker.
