FontMonger was a font conversion utility created by the ARES Software Corporation. It converts between PostScript 1, Type 3 and TrueType. In addition, the software adds limited font editor capabilities. Fore example: Characters from different fonts can be merged; keyboard positions can be relocated; subscript, superscript and fractions can be created.
The ARES Software Corporation was founded in 1990 and produced several font-related software applications. After it was acquired by Adobe, all products like FontStudio, FontMonger, FontHopper, FontMinder, FontFiddler, and FontChameleon were discontinued.
