Familiar script from 1884?

This calligraphic font appears in the 1884 US edition of Fridolin’s Mystical Marriage by Adolf Wilbrandt, but it seems really familiar. It seems like something that was floating around in the late 80s–early 90s but I can’t put my finger on it.

Part of the French ronde inspired upright scripts. The closest is probably Nick Curtis’ Bon Mot:

Wow, that seems to be pretty much identical!

The closest I’d found was Merveille (not really knowing what to search for), but maybe what was nagging my memory was a font that Microsoft distributed with various products, French Script MT.

Nothing like as angular though.
