Nathan Heintz Posted July 31, 2017 Posted July 31, 2017 Hi! I'm trying to match the typeface in this logo for some client work – the designer is no longer around and I'd like to match style for the website I'm building. Any ideas? Thanks! Nathan
Solution George Thomas Posted July 31, 2017 Solution Posted July 31, 2017 Cheltenham Bold Extra Condensed
Gizzmo Posted July 31, 2017 Posted July 31, 2017 https://www.myfonts.com/fonts/mti/gloucester-old-style-mt/std-bold-extra-condensed/
George Thomas Posted July 31, 2017 Posted July 31, 2017 The font I suggested and the font Gizzmo suggested are the same font from different foundries. Upon closer examination, neither of our suggestions are correct. The sample has an exterior serif on the crossbar of the /G, serifs on top of the /T, and the upper curve of the /S is different. Either font would be a good starting point though. The URW version I suggested is much cheaper than the Monotype version. Both are available at myfonts.com.
Nathan Heintz Posted July 31, 2017 Author Posted July 31, 2017 Great. These are definitely close enough for my tastes. You've got a sharp eye. Thanks very much! Nathan
