Looking to identify font from 1930s/40s tractor 'boiler plates' made by company in essex, UK...ERNEST DOE & SONS LTD

Sorry, but given the age of the sample the logotype would have been custom lettering, not a typeface. Not finding a match.

Raleigh Gothic is vaguely similar.

Binder-Style (revived in one of the heavier weights as Bindlestiff) is also similar.
