gvol21 Posted October 9, 2020 Posted October 9, 2020 Hi all, I'm researching the history of stamp albums and would like to know which font the Scott Publishing Company used for its postage stamp albums in the late 19th/early 20th century. Attached is an image from one of their album pages. De Vinne seems to be a close match, but would love to hear what others have to say. Thanks!
Solution Kevin Thompson Posted October 10, 2020 Solution Posted October 10, 2020 You’ve IDed it yourself—De Vinne does seem to be a match. Romana is also very similar. Personally, I find the secondary type (Watermarked... and the dates) more interesting. Would you have a larger image to share?
gvol21 Posted October 17, 2020 Author Posted October 17, 2020 Thanks! Very helpful. Regarding the secondary type, here's another example. Would be great to ID this one, too!
