Hello folks, this has been eluding me for a while. 

It is the Title graphic font for the Season One (1984) LWT (ITV) TV series "Surprise! Surprise!" with Cilla Black.

The font was a very 1980s machine block font very similar (but not) SUPERSTAR and MACHINE but with more blocky , angular glyphs. I seem to remember Helix using it on a stationary product in the early 80s too and I believe it was a Letraset original face.

For the TV titles they made it 3D and added metallic shading.
