petaluma
I’m looking for the name of the font so I could create artwork for my new classroom. This was found on a store in Sonoma, Ca. Thank you! Link to comment
Ralf Herrmann
It’s might just be hand-painted without any fonts. For a pretty similar look, check out the 3D style from https://fortfoundry.com/fonts/industry-inc 1 Link to comment
Kevin Thompson
Fairly certain INIGUEZ is Industry Inc 3D. Not finding a match for Tienda—House Script is similar, as is Sauber Script. Link to comment
Kevin Thompson
I cleaned up the image and tried again on Tienda—it is a distorted setting of Mission Script (horizontally stretched and vertically compressed). Link to comment
petaluma
Kevin and Ralf, Thank you so much! This was incredibly helpful. I did som research on the artist that painted this store. Evidently he painted 7 other business on the same street. I was planning on contacting him, but I found that he past away several years ago. https://www.sonomanews.com/article/news/artist-rico-martin-drowns-near-lake-shasta/?artslide=3 Danny Link to comment
Kevin Thompson Posted yesterday at 02:29 AM Share Posted yesterday at 02:29 AM Sorry to hear about the artist. He seemed to rely on typefaces, not hand lettering, for his work (can’t remember the last time I saw Laramie out in the wild, which he used for the Plain Jane’s sign), but he definitely had an eye for color.
