littleangelcherub Posted November 5 Posted November 5 I just found this button in my grandmother's collection. I like both fonts, and I was wondering if anyone could help me identify XOXO!!!
Kevin Thompson Posted November 5 Posted November 5 Without a larger, sharper image, hard to be absolutely sure. It would also help to know an approximate date for the button (during what years was your grandmother a teenager?). THIS | IS FOR | ROMEO could be heavier weight of Futura or Twentieth Century. A comparison here . 1
Kevin Thompson Posted November 5 Posted November 5 Juliet looks like one the of Bluemlein Script faces (hand lettering styles from the 1930s and 1940s that were digitized as typefaces this century). DrCarbfred, MissPackgope, and MrSopkin are similar—from what little I can make out on your sample, I'm guessing MissPackgope would be closest.

I was wondering if there are any fonts that speak to you or that you think would have been used at the time for campaign buttons or what not but I get that it is a nebulous questions so no pressure!
