James OD Posted August 16, 2018 Posted August 16, 2018 I am looking to identify the cursive font in the attached photograph. It's the writing in the floor of Frawleys Department store in Dublin, Ireland, built some time around 1892. I am looking to recreate this for the current refurbishment works and want to use the same font to keep the reproduction as true as possible to history. Any information in the right direction would be much appreciated. Free fonts are preferred, but if a commercial font is an exact match, I am willing to pay for it. Thanks in advance
Solution Ralf Herrmann Posted August 16, 2018 Solution Posted August 16, 2018 Probably not a font unless this was done very recently and it is a very clever OpenType font. The letter connections point to lettering. But it’s not a problem. Make a hi-res image without any distortions through perspective, give it to a graphic designer and he/she will vectorize it from that.
James OD Posted August 16, 2018 Author Posted August 16, 2018 Thank you for the suggestion Ralf, we will probably do that.
