Clarendon called "Compacta" in French book from the 1950s

hi I have this typeface that looks like Clarendon except for the capital C and R... used in a French book from 1959, the credited typeface is "compacta" but I can't find that online? thx

Monotype Egyptian appears to be a match, but whether it went by any other pre-digital names I haven’t been able to ascertain yet.
