SignGuy Posted January 29, 2019 Posted January 29, 2019 Hey everyone, I have been tasked with getting this logo recreated by my client. This was his grandfathers company and has since changed names many times but he is sentimental about this logo. Can anyone help me with finding the fonts in this Logo?
Henri-Paul Bronsard Posted January 29, 2019 Posted January 29, 2019 Morts - This is not a font because it was HANDMADE letters. From my point of view you will never find it.
Greg Yerbury Posted January 29, 2019 Posted January 29, 2019 Certainly Morts is lettering. 'Auction field' could be Frutiger serif but that seems to be quite modern for an old logo.
Ralf Herrmann Posted January 29, 2019 Posted January 29, 2019 Before Frutiger Serif, there was Meridien. download at MyFonts 1
Solution Kevin Thompson Posted January 29, 2019 Solution Posted January 29, 2019 For Mort’s, Lauren Script (with some customization of the t) appears to be a match. I suspect Lauren Script has an historical predecessor under a different name.... *UPDATE* Adage Script is another revival; the original appears to be Adscript, by Morris Fuller Benton/ATF (1914). 1 1
SignGuy Posted January 30, 2019 Author Posted January 30, 2019 That nailed it perfectly! Thank you! and with a little modification the logo looks next to indistinguishable!
